Principal’s Message

Hope Haven School is located on Sellars Drive in Jackson.

Welcome to Hope Haven School! It is our distinct privilege to partner together with you, as well as Jackson, Wellston, and Oak Hill Union School Districts, in the education of your child. Hope Haven School offers distinctive opportunities for students to discover their passion through ample opportunities to develop that passion through educational and vocational activities. We are built upon caring teachers, staff, differentiated academics, as well as community support.

Our staff is committed to working together as a team to focus on quality learning opportunities and accountability, aiming for results that reflect continuous improvement for each student. I am proud of the achievements and the diligence of our faculty and staff in continuing to increase the students’ engagement and learning both inside and outside of the classroom. The teachers and I have a vision for our students; we hope it aligns with yours. We want every student to become all that they can be by building a strong educational foundation to create productive citizens of our community.

We are built upon caring teachers, staff, differentiated academics, as well as community support.

At Hope Haven School we have an Adult Living Resource Center, similar to a small apartment, Computer lab, Library, Sensory Room equipped with a black and white room to meet each child’s specific sensory needs, as well as an Adult Recreation Area and Playground. We offer students the opportunity to participate in Special Olympic Activities such as Golf, Volleyball, Bowling, Basketball, and Track and Field. We also provide specialized in-house services to meet each child’s needs such as Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, as well as Physical Therapy. We take extreme pride in our school, as well as each one of our students!

Sincerely,
Don Jenkins, Principal

County boards that operate school-age programs are required to inform parents that the Ohio Department of Education will be providing information about all Ohio students to Disability Rights Ohio in accordance with a recent federal court order. Because parents have the ability to request their child’s information not be shared, boards must notify parents via their school’s web site and in a public location at the school of this opt-out opportunity. For more information about what should be posted, visit this link at the Ohio Department of Education’s website. For questions regarding this requirement not answered by the link above, please contact OACB Children’s Services Consultant Susan Jones for more information.
